Introduction

Nobilas Claims & Fleet solutions; an international organisation operating in Europe and North America that combines leading car repair process management skills with claims management and incident services.

Nobilas' client base includes some of the world's leading car insurers, car leasing and rental companies and corporate fleet owners.


Background

An international organisation with 60,000 employees; with offices in the UK, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the U.S. and Canada.

Continuing their rapid expansion, Nobilas found their rate of growth in the UK required them to find larger premises. Since outgrowing their existing offices, Nobilas employed Move Your Office to organise their move.


The Challenge

Move Your Office was presented with the challenge of internally relocating the 100 plus staff of their office in Henley-on-Thames. The move resulted in the need to relocate all office items and ensure they were installed and working before the arrival of employees in their new office. It entailed extensive work; including the dismantling, packing, re-assembly and location of all desks and chairs, desk equipment (stationery, telephones, computers) and all associated furnishings.

The Move Your Office team initially planned and co-ordinated the different phases and timescales with senior Nobilas' staff; ensuring that all property was correctly assigned, identified and distributed to the relevant person. The advanced planning also ensured minimal disruption to employees and productivity. We visited Nobilas' new office to identify relevant data and communication points; floor-plans were also provided to identify where staff should be seated and plan a suitable layout.

All Electronic components, such as computers and telephones, were packed into secure, padded crates, providing the necessary protection to prevent damage. Furniture and associated furnishings were dismantled if necessary, wrapped in protective packaging and moved in phases to their new location.


The Result

Move Your Office completed the project, within the scheduled time frame and with complete customer satisfaction. Nobilas began work at 9 am that Monday, with no disruption to their daily business.




A and O Group - Office refurbishment

A and O Group

Introduction

A&O; a fast growing, vendor-independent provider of IT support services, in Europe and around the globe.

A&O main UK offices are in Colnbrook, Berkshire, with an employee base of over 300 personnel.


Background

The office was in need of updating; having had little modernisation work done since it was built in the early 1980's.

Being a provider of corporate IT solutions and having a finite capital to work with, A&O wished to ensure they received maximum benefit from their budget. In addition to getting the most up to date look and feel, to increase worker satisfaction, it was also necessary to upgrade certain parts of the electrical and lighting system, which, upon survey, were found to be below the appropriate legislation.


The Challenge

We needed to provide the relocation of existing services as well as the utilisation of Move Your Office's complete service.

Using our designers, space planners and engineers, the Move Your Office team initially helped A&O to understand where the best return for their investment could to be found.

The challenge involved; complete overhaul of office space, creation of new meeting room facilities and office space, refurbishment of all the washrooms, new power and data cabling and new office furniture. However, Move Your Office found innovative ways to achieve the updating of the building whilst still remaining within budget.

A project manager was assigned to A&O senior personnel, and established the requirements of A&O with their management team in terms of start times and work phases. A phased plan was presented by Move Your Office, including sequenced moves, which meant any work with impact on A&O employees was either completed out of hours or over weekends. Where this was un-achievable, temporary work areas were set up that enabled A&O employees to work as usual without interruption.

A new layout was proposed by Move Your Office to open up the existing office; allowing more space and natural light into the work areas. The Move Your Office team proposed this layout as it could be achieved with minimal cost; since the partitioning installed was demountable and only required a new finish to look as new. The cost of refurbishing and moving the existing partitioning saved A&O ten of thousand's of pound's; money that could be used elsewhere in the building.

The latter phases were then designed with an eye on cost; re-using all materials where possible and refurbishing rather than replacing. This included sections of the bathrooms and kitchen areas.

During the refurbishment the new power and data cabling was installed, saving time in completion and disruption for A&O staff. The new office furniture and employee's possessions were then relocated over each weekend, before they returned the following Monday.


The Result

Even though additional items were added to the original specification, Move Your Office ensured that all original deadlines were met. The project was completed with capital to spare; meaning A&O could replace out of date furniture, further enhancing the look of the building. Employee feedback revealed it made the building a better place to work and production was enhanced.




Workforce Employment - 20 personnel office move

Workforce Employment

Introduction

Workforce Employment; Staffordshire's leading employment agency, founded back in 1972 and continuing to establish a reputation for supplying the right person for the right job.


Background

With an increasing demand for their services, Workforce Employment had grown to the extent that their original offices were too small and they needed to move into larger offices. Additionally, the growth of Workforce meant an upgrade in the cabling and IT services and Move Your Office was assigned to assist, so that a seamless transfer between the old and the new IT network could take place.


The Challenge

The Move Your Office team needed to relocate Workforce's 20 or so personnel to their new site. After a project manager was assigned, we made an initial visit to schedule each stage. The Move Your Office team then worked in conjunction with one of Workforce's senior managers to decide their new office layout before work commenced. Move Your Office's IT specialists carefully mapped and labelled the existing IT infrastructure and servers and PCs were carefully packed in transit proof protective casing.

Existing furniture was dismantled, protectively wrapped and transported to the new offices. Once re-located, the team began re-assembly of each workspace.


The Result

Move Your Office completed the move well within the specified time frame; including the switchover to the new cabling and IT network, allowing Workforce to return to work promptly at the start of the week.
